Welcome to the 2026 For Rangers Ultra tracking and results hub!
It’s been an extraordinary week at this year’s edition of the For Rangers Ultra. Our participants have been on an incredible journey across the wildlife conservancies of Kenya and emotions were high on the finish line at the iconic Ol Pejeta conservancy as participants celebrated completing 230km and 5 days of running.
Charlotte van der Lee wins the 2026 For Rangers Ultra women’s race, and takes the course record!
New Zealand runner Charlotte van der Lee was the first female at the For Ranger’s Ultra in a phenomenal time of 26:36:10. Not only did she win by a comfortable margin, but she also beat the course record set last year by Hollie Woodhouse. Charlotte was incredibly strong every day and it was a very well-deserved win on her stage racing debut!
Second place in the women’s race was Liz Fife, who was back for the second time after completing the race last year. Liz ran a time of 27:21:30, taking over 3 hours off her previous time.
Amy Thompson completed the podium in a time of 30:54:59 after an incredible performance, pushing hard throughout the race.
Al Fatkin wins the men’s race at the the 2026 For Rangers Ultra
Al Fatkin crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 25:22:30. Al put in such a consistent performance day in and day out, getting stronger and stronger as the race progressed. Al’s success is particularly great to see, as he has worked as a medic on so many Beyond the Ultimate events. As a medic, Al has helped lots of runners get over that finish line and saved many people’s races, so it is fantastic to see him on the other side of the event thriving.
Lau Brüniche-Olsen took second place, after steadily working his way through the field. He finished in a time of 26:24:13.
Rounding out the podium was James Hughes, who had a storming run on the final day of the race, finishing in a time of 26:57:25.
It’s not all about the frontrunners though – every single runner has shown incredible determination and resilience to make it to that finish line, putting in hours of training, and keeping pushing through the heat of Kenya. Simon Blair completed his third ForRangers Ultra, and Susan Webber righted an early exit last year with a great finish, cheered on by husband Stephen who worked as part of the crew.
A special mention has to go to Paul Wilson, who did the entire race on crutches – a truly inspiring performance. We wish him a huge congratulations on this incredible achievement.
In addition to their athletic achievement, our runners have also raised a considerable amount of money for Save the Rhino to help the Rangers protect this unique landscape, and we’re not done yet! We’d encourage you to donate to the amazing runners individual funds and help us hit that incredible target of £1 million total raised.
