Jungle and Race Results

This is the 2026 Jungle Ultra results and tracking hub!

The Jungle Ultra took place in the Kosnipata-Manu National park. Covering 250km over five days, runners started in Cloud Rainforest at 3000m before rapidly descending into the dense Amazon Jungle. Download the race pack to learn more.

Facing waist-deep rivers, steep ascents and fierce undergrowth, the runners caried all their own equipment and slept in hammocks under the Jungle canopy each night.

Jessica Fussey and Hugo Paradis crowned champions of the 2026 Jungle Ultra

Over five gruelling stages through some of the most biodiverse and remote wilderness on the planet, 70 runners from across the globe took on the Peruvian cloud forest and jungle, descending from 3,000 metres above sea level at the Wayqecha Biological Research Station and finishing in the town of Pilcopata. What followed was five days of zip wires, river crossings, near-vertical climbs, thick mud, stifling heat, and the kind of adventure that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.

Hugo Paradis delivered one of the standout performances in recent Jungle Ultra history, taking three of the five stage wins and growing stronger with every passing day. Crossing the finish line in Pilcopata in a total time of 25 hours and 9 minutes, Paradis was a class above in a fiercely competitive field.

Alexander Welch, completing all four races in the 2026 Global Race Series with his Jungle Ultra finish, earned second place in 28 hours 52 minutes in what can only be described as a performance of extraordinary character. Having endured an extremely tough stage three, Welch refused to settle and instead pushed himself to the limit for the remaining days, battling Paradis and Asperski with everything he had.

MichaƂ Asperski rounds out the men’s podium in third with a total time of 29 hours 35 minutes, having been a constant presence at the front of the race throughout the week. Bryan Lanigan secured a hard-fought fifth place in 31 hours 10 minutes.

Jessica Fussey produced a performance of remarkable composure and dominance, winning four consecutive stages and crossing the line in a total time of 38 hours 19 minutes. The Swedish athlete, cool, calm, and utterly in control throughout, took on the jungle entirely on her own terms. A truly exceptional week in extremely hostile conditions.

Maranda Muller takes a well-deserved second place in 42 hours 6 minutes. A strong opening stage set the tone for Muller’s week, and she held off a determined challenge from Hannah Goldring and Robin Moore to secure the runner-up spot.

Hannah Goldring completes the women’s podium in third with a total of 43 hours 16 minutes. After a difficult stage one, Goldring responded with four excellent runs including a stage win on the 5th day, closing the gap to Muller to just over an hour by the final stage. In her third Global Race Series race, this was a performance full of grit and progression.

A total of 43 runners completed the full course, with a further 7 completing the short course. Beyond the Ultimate extends its thanks to every single participant, volunteer, local crew member, and the communities of the Kosnipata-Manu region who welcomed the race once again.
